Exercise and Playtime:
Exercise is important for every dog and play as exercise can come in many forms. However, until your puppy is fully potty trained, play should somewhat be regulated, just like food and water. Save the playing and exercise until after your puppy poos and pees.
One good reason for a play and exercise schedule after potty times is that play itself can stimulate the puppy to go and if he hasn’t had a chance to take care of business prior to playing, he might just stop in the middle of it and go on the spot. Also, he will learn a routine and knows that games won’t begin until he has taken care of his “business” he will be motivated to do what you want him to so he can get what he wants.
Never play with your puppy in the area where you want him to do his business, this will only confuse him.
